Every week on Friday we have family day. This includes morning prayer, family ministry activity, hearing someone’s testimony, dinner then a family activity. During the week it is difficult to keep up with all that people do and Fridays kind of bring it all together for us. We as leaders are able to see everyone in ministry as well as be “in ministry” as well.
Over the next few days I am going to tell you more of each of the different ministries we have done together.
Both times we have visited the Mbabane government hospital I have found myself talking to the nurses in the maternity ward. Both times there were different nurses, but it was still a great time of visiting with them. On the last visit one of the nurses asked me what message I had for her. I was not prepared for that at all but the Lord gave me a word for her. In turn I asked what she has been learning from God and she told me “Love.” She explained a bit more and then we continued talking about other things. I was sad to leave, but hope to be able to return and visit with these ladies again.
The students jumped right in and ask us if we can go back to see the patients again. Some of the people they met the first time around and prayed for had been moved to Johannesburg, South Africa for more specialized treatment. For these patients and their families, it was a huge deal. One had to raise tens of thousands of dollars to have a procedure done. Within a weeks time she had all the money she needed and headed to Johannesburg.
Aw! It’s one big group side hug! 🙂
Hi Isabel-
So glad that you are back in Swaziland. Please give Pastor Gift and Phelile my love and let them know that they are in my prayers. I am praying for YOU as you lead and serve. May you curl up in your Father’s arms, knowing that he loves you and that he will equip you for whatever he calls you to do.
Greetings from Michael and Molli, too.
Love you, girl!
