Thoughts & Inspiration

The time has come for me to let you know what is next for me. Yesterday I met with Scott Borg and made things official. I am on AIM staff now, but I will be returning to Swaziland. Earlier this year I was asked a few times what my thoughts were about returning to Swaziland to help Kriek out in the office, especially with all the profile information with the kids at each of the carepoints in Manzini. There was a lot that had already happened that week and returning to Swazi wasn’t on my list of things to do soon or even in “my plans” for the next 3 years. However, after praying and receiving confirmation from different areas, I accepted the idea of returning and went with it. Until recently there have been many unanswered questions, and that has been one of my hesitations of letting you know the next step. For the most part my responsibilities have been put in writing and I am now in the process of raising support for full time staff.

There are a few areas I need help with.
1. I am looking for a group of about 10 people that could commit to support me in prayer and you will be on my prayer update list. I will send out prayer requests and keep you informed of how things are progressing and details on recent happenings.
2. I small group of individuals that would be willing to help me the first few months, generating ideas for support raising and possibly help me execute these plans.
3. There is also the need for finances. I have been support raising for about five years now and the Lord has always provided. God has called me into ministry. He has promised to provide for me and goes on to say, “Don’t worry about what you will eat or drink or what you’ll wear.  Your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given you as well.” Support raising has always been one of my biggest stressors and it shouldn’t be. This is an opportunity for blessings! I have been blessed in so many unexpected ways over the years!

For now I am back in America. Presently I am sitting in Gainesville, GA still, but soon I am returning to Texas…school starts soon! I’m taking classes at Dallas Baptist for a few reasons. They offer online classes so I can continue working on my degree while I’m in Swaziland and I’ll be closer to my family before I leave again for a longer period of time. I have a lot I need to accomplish in just a few months. My monthly living expenses while in Swaziland are going to be around $1800 or $21,600 for the year. While I don’t need to have the entire amount in my support account, I do need to have the majority of it received or pleged before I am able to head back to Swazi.

Here’s the deal. The school year for Swaziland begins in January. There are at least eight carepoints that I will be collecting information from with anywhere from 50-150 children at each carepoint. There is a lot that has to be done for each carepoint and each child and the sooner I am able to get to Swaziland, the more time I have to work on gathering this information. Kriek is the one in charge of gathering this information with the Discipleship team helping out when they are able. It is still so much work, too much for one person alone. Please, prayerfully consider how you can partner with me over the next few years. I know some of you have supported me in the past and I can’t express my thanks enough.
