I realized today how horrible I am at being a consistent blog writer. There are a few things I would like to update you about.

  • Our ministry team to Algoa was never able to begin painting in Bambino ward. However, Sara P and Meghan will be in Port Elizabeth come January and will be able to continue some with that ministry.
  • My outreach team has a few new members. Caroline and Melissa are coming to co-lead with Matt and I and Sarah K and Tyler have been added to our team as well. It is very exciting to have such an amazing group of students!
  • I am leaving for Swaziland on January 2. Tag, Matt and I are catching a bus from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg (approximately a 20 hour bus ride) then renting a car to drive into Swaziland. We have a lot of traveling to do and some preparations before the team arrives on the 6th.

Last week was debrief for the team. The Awakening is over and debrief was a time for the students to relax and reflect on the things the Lord has taught them over the past few months. He has brought many through a lot of stuff and seeing them walk in freedom has been amazing. It was a difficult time for me. Since I am staying in Swaziland until August I had to say goodbye to 2/3 of the team. I still don't think it has really hit me. I also had to leave my network of leaders. There are times that I want to run and hide beneath a rock, then I realize that the Lord has called me out for greater things. I am more than capable of leading this team. He has given me other leaders to support me in times of craziness.

I also want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May God bless you and your family this next year! Thank you all so much for your prayers and support while I'm over here. I can't do this without you and I have felt your prayers many times!
